Starting from zero to 120 posts

According to the Blogger Dashboard, I have one-fifth of the amount of blog posts here than the Beyond Branding Blog saw in its original incarnation. That’s in six weeks, versus 34 months. There’s just something great about at your own place. , too, has recognized this, and while I’m a long way from Johnnie Moore, another ex-BB blogger; Hugh MacLeod of Gaping Void; and Stowe Boyd, whose “starting from zero” posts are very fascinating, I’m ahead of the BBB.
In Stowe’s tradition, Technorati places this blog’s rank at 73,040 (223 links from 33 sites)—and I did start from almost nearly zero here.

Comments:
Update: ‘56,901 (288 links from 40 sites)’.
‘Rank: 55,132 (303 links from 41 sites)’, which is not bad considering I have not posted in nearly a week.
Only one more this week: ‘54,685 (341 links from 42 sites)’.
Cracked the 50,000 barrier today: ‘49,811 (345 links from 45 sites)’.
Slight improvement for the weekend: ‘48,384 (350 links from 46 sites)’. I think I might be as interested in this as Stowe.
Finally, an update! Today at Technorati: ‘35,785 (499 links from 59 sites)’.
A little jump today: ‘34,397 (515 links from 61 sites)’.
‘Technorati Rank: 33,443 (534 links from 63 sites)’—this is great, with the program working extra-hard of late!
A healthy jump today: ‘30,092 (539 links from 69 sites)’.
Wow, into the 20,000s—not bad for an amateur. Today on Technorati: ‘28,142 (559 links from 73 sites)’.
It was easier to jump lots of ranking numbers before: ‘27,243 (564 links from 75 sites)’.
Tiny improvement: ‘26,544 (568 links from 77 sites)’.
Better again: ‘25,735 (608 links from 79 sites)’.
Nowhere near what Guy Kawasaki and Stowe Boyd are pulling, but cracked 80 sites today: ‘25,336 (609 links from 80 sites)’.
Tiny increase this week: ‘24,549 (618 links from 82 sites)’.
Nice to have been away to return to ‘22,459 (628 links from 88 sites)’.
A nice healthy jump again this week: ‘23,736 (658 links from 95 sites)’. I thought it would be bang on 90, so the extra five are nice.
Interesting to note that despite the jump in sites, the ranking number no longer consistently goes up: ‘22,701 (668 links from 98 sites)’.
Update: crossed the 100-site mark: ‘21,174 (679 links from 103 sites).’
Now, crossed the 10,000 barrier for links: ‘19,713 (694 links from 109 sites)’.
‘Rank: 16,849 (784 links from 133 sites).’ A nice surprise after a while.

Note

Entries from 2006 to the end of 2009 were done on the Blogger service. As of January 1, 2010, this blog has shifted to a Wordpress installation, with the latest posts here.
With Blogger ceasing to support FTP publishing on May 1, I have decided to turn these older pages in to an archive, so you will no longer be able to enter comments. However, you can comment on entries posted after January 1, 2010.
