8.11.08 A little too literal
This is not a dig at the person who said this, because we all have those ‘Duh’ moments in life. But it did make me wonder if we should publish our full email addresses on our companies’ sites.
Last week, a nice lady called me and wondered why messages from her company were not getting through to me on email. She asked, ‘Is your address fi[email protected]?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘They don’t seem to be getting through.’ I asked how she spelt my name and then it dawned on us that they were literally typing fi[email protected]. So, the villains that Hedley Lamarr hired to attack Rock Ridge were not atypical when they repeated verbatim, ‘I … your name … pledge allegiance …’ Posted by Jack Yan, 23:15 Comments:
