Heading toward the 4,705th New Year

As the year draws to a close—I celebrate the , and it has been around for 4,700 years rather than a few centuries—I would like to thank all loyal readers of this blog. Randy, Ron, Robin, K, Dannie, Helen, 維平, Markoos, C., Peter, Mike, and many more of you (please add a comment to make me feel bad for omissions), plus my team members at JY&A and colleagues at Medinge, it has been a pleasure to be connected with you. In many cases, I am glad to have met you and to have started a friendship with you.
As part of the redesign, this blog (and two others) are now syndicated there, thanks to a nifty little service called FeedSweep.
I must admit I like FeedDigest’s controls, but is still very comprehensive and is particularly good for beginners.
I am MCing the Lunar New Year party on the waterfront on February 17–18—quite a sacrifice considering I should be at home with family on that celebratory night. But we must make sacrifices for the good of citizens (ask not what your city can do for you, yada yada). One can only hope that the night does not hit 6°C as it did with the Gregorian , and that it will be a trifle warmer. is yet to start here.
If you are in town, please join us as it is a public event. More updates in the weeks to come.

Kong Hee Fatt Choy in advance, or if you prefer, Gong Xi Fa Cai. I'm here in Singapore watching the festivities taper off from a combo of Christmas, Hari Raya [Eid] and New Years and the expected upswell for the Lunar New Year. Envy you much as I'll be back in the US by then.
Thank you, Niti! I have seen (on Flickr) some of the photographs as the New Year preps start—what fun!
Jack - it is easy to be a loyal reader of the Persuader Blog.

Thanks for stirring things up in 06 and I'm looking forward to what you will write throughout 07.

Oh the conversations we will have!

Keep creating...it freaks people out,
Jack .. all the best for a happy, healthy and successful 2007. It's been a pleasure getting to know you this year. Looking forward to more of your insightful posts.
Thanks, Mike, and Toby, thank you, too—sorry I forgot your name there in the post!

Entries from 2006 to the end of 2009 were done on the Blogger service. As of January 1, 2010, this blog has shifted to a Wordpress installation, with the latest posts here.
With Blogger ceasing to support FTP publishing on May 1, I have decided to turn these older pages in to an archive, so you will no longer be able to enter comments. However, you can comment on entries posted after January 1, 2010.
