18.12.09 One hundred per cent is not good enough
No wonder the financial markets have been in turmoil lately: people can’t do mathematics any more.
Last week, Jon Stewart pointed out that Fox News’s poll lacks a bit of credibility: considering the entire sample adds up to 120 per cent. This is no anomaly. On my Ad.ly page, analysing the Tweeters who follow me: 100 per cent is now 122 per cent. When various governments announced their economic stimulus plans, did they include some rule on inflating statistics? Hi jack,
I have to say that Fox drive me potty... They like to take the high ground, but often trip themselves up... Mike
Oh dear. Again, as an Independent, I really wish conservatives/Republicans would cut the crap and kill that cancerous right-wing authoritarianism already.
I mean, really, liberals/Dems aren't all a bed of roses, even if they are smelling sweeter at the moment... ...both want me to convert to their side. (Or maybe they don't.) Ain't happening. Oh by the way-- you are missed at VOX.
Agree with you all—Mike, it is the holier-than-thou approach that is not fitting, considering the network makes a lot of mistakes. Even those who support Sarah Palin need to remember that after the McCain loss, O’Reilly and others rubbished her for a week. There clearly are agenda at play there.

Jak, I totally agree. I am often surprised at what gets politicized there, where most countries would simply look at an issue and decide on whether it is good or bad. There, the political party behind the issue is always considered first, and rubbished or supported according to party lines. I am glad to be missed, but I must confess I am getting used to life without Vox. I still come to administer the groups and delete sploggers, as well as the odd spam commenter who shows up on my old blogs. I have heard nothing more from Daisy or the others, which suggests to me that they aren’t particularly bothered about losing members, even long-standing and highly active ones. Links to this post:
