Bang, zoom, to the moon!

Here’s one for you place to think about: what if there were a wine that was marketed but no one had any idea of its origin? Stefan Engeseth proposes moon wine in his blog.
Meanwhile, we’re looking at at work. The place must rank as one of the lesser known nations these days. Sure, there was Michael Præd’s character off , but nothing beyond that. And I was too busy looking at Catherine Oxenberg anyway. Not that I would these days.
Moon wine—it may well work, though there’s a part of me that says it would have been great that in July 1969. There is the obvious difficulty of getting pieces of moon rock to ferment the wine, and will its eventual bottling location on Earth matter? (It doesn’t for Coca-Cola, surely.)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for commenting! My stay in Sweden is still great and I have a great vacation you know:-)
Still wish I was there, Renny!
positioning a product by creating a point of differentiation against competitors is a great tool.

this one uses maybe a little too much novelty for my liking - maybe if they just focus on using wine from all the best regions, or keep the regions a secret.

good idea though.
It’s a good way to provoke a bit of discussion: I like Stefan’s stuff and some his way-out ideas because it forces you to think. You could say, Markoos, that this idea is too out of this world, in more senses than one. But not totally outside the realms of possibility: Moonrock Fermented has a nice ring to it.
slightly off topic, but how do you envision they will sell the orbiting hotel i hear is in the works? i hear that it is not really just rumor anymore....

privitized space travel.... my dream.
Mick, I think they would do without any notion of nation brand altogether and simply sell it expensively to dreamers like us (except I would need more dosh before I could afford to stay there).
It’s an emotive product where demand could be rather high. We’ve dreamed about this sort of thing for decades, and everyone has some preconceived idea of what an orbiting hotel would entail—and who wouldn’t wish to be part of history?

Entries from 2006 to the end of 2009 were done on the Blogger service. As of January 1, 2010, this blog has shifted to a Wordpress installation, with the latest posts here.
With Blogger ceasing to support FTP publishing on May 1, I have decided to turn these older pages in to an archive, so you will no longer be able to enter comments. However, you can comment on entries posted after January 1, 2010.
