No Snakes on a Plane

I am sure there is something wrong with , rather than interest in vanishing altogether, as the latest search results suggest (above—this is not a faked image). Or, maybe wishes me to stop counting how many links the phrase is getting?
Incidentally, the CBS News link in the image is here, involving a real snake (singular) on a plane.

Comments:
Google's been weird lately in general. Now I hear that Technorati's servers have been overrun. What is going on here?
Well, when I did the same search just now, I got 4,010,000 hits. Hmm.
It’s the darnedest thing, Andrea. I got the page above many times. Then, I got the proper first page—but the second was like the one above.
Nicole, I hear the same. It didn’t even record any new posts from this blog for 23 hours, even though there were two (this and the previous one) in the interim.
Google occasionally feeds me pages with a totally different design—I have to go and wipe cookies in order to get it back to normal.
Back to normal now!

Note

Entries from 2006 to the end of 2009 were done on the Blogger service. As of January 1, 2010, this blog has shifted to a Wordpress installation, with the latest posts here.
With Blogger ceasing to support FTP publishing on May 1, I have decided to turn these older pages in to an archive, so you will no longer be able to enter comments. However, you can comment on entries posted after January 1, 2010.
